They do not go after you for failing to file a tax return, they go after you if you withheld more money than you were supposed to and when return time came around you still owed money and didn't pay. The majority of the people filing returns get just that, a RETURN on their money. I paid 7.4% of my total income (in the 6 figures) last year, but you don't see the IRS coming after me. People just blame the IRS for taking their money, but do not do anything to fix it. I did it legally.

What you said makes no sense . If what you said is the case , and the IRS ends up getting thier money by keeping
"more of your money" , then why do they go after people who do not file then .
The income tax that you pay freely goes to the federal reserve which is not a government institution.

anyone who does not file an income tax return is just stupid. What most people don't realize is that if you have a job as an employee taxes are automatically taken out of your paycheck before you get it. An income tax return means the IRS sends you what is left over. Not filing a return means the IRS keeps even more of your money. I think taxes are rediculous now, but why would I not want to get at least part of my money back? Some people are just stupid.

OnlineWarrior you will not win an argument against a legal thief wannabe. RetSquid is mostly sheeple.
After finishing a game of Monopoly do the rules\law of the game still apply to your daily life? Of course not. I suggest you just walk away from the game. First in your mind and then later when more think like you we all can put the game away.
Ask him if or how you are subject to law that steals from you and harms you? At "No law for U.S. Income Tax 2/2" RetSquid is like a fish out of water.

You forgot the second part of that quote.
It is clear on the face of this text that it does not purport to confer power to levy income taxes in a generic sense,***AN AUTHORITY ALREADY POSSESSED AND NEVER QUESTIONED.*** Brushaber v. UPRR Company

Are you hoping that you can brainwash me by repeating this garbage over and over again?

It did not create any guidelines.
The Supreme Court ruled that the 16th Amendment did not give them any new powers of taxation.
I've told you this many times. If you can't handle admitting that you are wrong, then simply don't reply.
RetSquid (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
"Yes, but those taxes have to follow the guidelines. The income tax does not. "
Which is why the 16th Amendment was added, to create different guidlines, but the authority was always there.
