its only semi contact sparring for color belts, black belts is full contact. atleast thats the way it is with us.

I used to go to an ITF dojo in the states started by Grand master Hwang. ITF and WTF is worlds apart.

WTF - World Taekwondo Federation
Minor:
ETU - European Taekwondo Union
USTF - United States Taekwondo Federation

itf is the original ,the difference between it and wtf ,well the main difference would be, in competition sparring.wtf is full contact,where they wear all the body shields and head gear..whereas in itf it is semi contact.and just foot pads and hand pads are required along with groin and gum shields.itf is better for originality in my opinion...wtf focusing mainly on sparring ,not other aspects of the art

A man who live by his word - listen to his words careful and read his writings throughly, you'll find word of wisdom, essense of knowledge and the secret of TaeKwon Do.
