well if you have a floyd locking nut theres no problems. i have a reg plastic nut on my sg that the kahler is on and it stays in tune perfectly.

thanks to this video :) no i know that i do not buy a kahler if i want to make really big bends and other funny with tremolo :) i have been buying now yamaha which have a lisenced fr because i don't have a money to buy a guitar which have a schaller =(. but i try to do something with that lisenced if it go out of tune or something xD

beyond the string slot would work).
Also, if there was some way to coat the cam with graphite (or something more slippery like the Graph Tech material) it would get rid of the friction there.
I don't have a lot of time right now, but I think I'm definitely going to try out the roller replacement/clamp idea at some point, anyone out there could try it by just cutting up a Graph Tech nut into the right sizes, on a current Kahler saddle.

Have become true believer of Graph Tech nut + locking tuners w/ locking tremolos (as alt. to locking nut), haven't had any problems with extreme bends with them.
Short of designing a 'Kahler II', which probably won't happen, I think a regular Kahler could just be modded by replacing the rollers with a flat-bottomed non-moving saddle block made out of Graph Tech material, and finding a way to get the wound part of the string off the cam (some kind of makeshift clamp
(see part 3)

great video(s), I built a project guitar w/ a Kahler, love the smoothness, but hate the bending problem. I think there's probably a real solution out there, looks like friction points are just
1. round string into V-shaped groove of roller (saddle should also have 'real' lockdown mechanism, but would require redesign)
2. the part of the string over cam is the wound part, pretty bad since there's guaranteed inconsistency in string at that point
3. the ball end is also not clamped
(see part 2)

If you use the blocking feature on the Kahler Hybrid brigde, will the strings still go out of tune with wide bends? I've been thinking about getting the ESP JH-600 and using the blocking feature on its Kahler Hybrid bridge...

is there would be a lot of adjustment? coz i will change my lower pro which is suck and unstablilze. if i change it to an original floyd rose patented is there would be another problem regarding bending, divebombs. my lower pro is fake. pls help me.

You can get the original Floyd Rose from GuitarPartsDepot. Good to place to buy.

xD i don't know u, but i'v tested a few strats, n' they stay in tune, even to play high bends, or use the trem.
come on! "one" of the best blue' guitars have the worst Fucking bridge! :P. it's sad
ok wy u don't check to gary moore's strat^^ that fender can break his neck after going out of tune, well he dont DIME-bomb or made spaghetti with the strings... just use the tremolo.
i really enjoy ur vids |
