It amazes me that Roger can keep that beat up throughout the whole 5 minute + song. My arm gets tired after about 30 seconds.
On another note, I miss Rick Davies' lower harmony here.

Supertramp is the best band ever. I am 49 and my son 16 loves them too. I hope one day they unite again. Thank you

Oops, obviously you're right. Wrong tour, although I am relatively certain we saw them play Child of Vision after the initial "Breakfast" tour. I have many of those concert programs from the 70s and early 80s, and I will check, but I don't think they had set lists in them. I also used to own a live bootleg import album, from the same era, that had "Child" on it, and that also makes me think they played COV later on, but the album had no dates or locations. Thanks for the clarification.

Supertramp DID play this live, on the Breakfast in America tour, back to back nights at the Forum in Los Angeles, and then again at the Forum during the Even in the Quietest Moments tour a little while later. John Anthony's short sax solo at the end still gives me goose bumps when I hear it.

Great song, and veeeery good performance.
I've been searching for this song for years. When I was teenager we had very popular quiz (not like the one You could watch on TV these days, for this one You had to be really smart, not just lucky) called 'Kviskoteka' (not translatable, because doesn't have meaning but could be said as 'Quizcoteque' in english) and the instrumental part of this song was used at the begining, and at the end of the quiz.
Inspiring music that bring so many memories.

How happy that you're not a millionaire!! :-D
Anyway, I'm nearly sure that Roger wouldn't care about a money proposal... But he would certainly do it "for free", if his feelings for Rick were as in the early Supertramp's era!! :-)
