Y'a know...for a the trashing of Oren, he's still one of the greatest elloquent speaker/ messengers of our time,whose voice reaches on a global level! With all the unfortunate happenings at home,tat info needs to stay at home. Airing out the dirty laundry does nothing but look stupid, especially when it's hanging out on your line. Use you good mind and tell something of good value..aye?

I was brought up urban country Indian I think digging into the pockets of the CEOS might be a risky way for any Native to route their way into culture.My Dad would use Political means and the Creator to save the land he did that with the parks in our area cause he saw development coming in a dream . Dad saved small parcels of land for the sake of the salmon run he was a good Cree .

you are totally correct! but of course people here won't believe you because oren is soooooo super spiritual he would never do something like that! he almost sounds convincing when theres a camera around.

Can't tell you about Tom Porter, only met him once. I've heard others say stuff about him but I can't honestly say. On other hand, I am fully aware of Oren Lyons' activities,especially since he is my 2nd cousin. Oren doesn't stick his head out unless its to give his BS renditions of the Great Law. Problem is most of you and even many Onkwehonwe have little or no knowledge of the Law. Leaders are not to make decisions on their own, it is by unanimous decision of the People.

you don't chose to not be Seneca and then chose to be Onondaga, don't work that way. It may work for corporate States (non-Nations)like United States, Canada or Australia but not with real Nations. You especially can't adopt someone that is already in the family. When you've lived at Onondaga like I have, you would see what this guy and others with him have done.

So, youre living in Akwesasne? Do you think the same way of Tom Porter? I met both him and Oren a couple of weeks ago...in the same place. It feels like youre trying too hard, to discredit a great man...but thats what often happens I guess, when someone sticks his head out and stands on his principles. I guess also that leadership sometimes require uncomfortable desicions that everyone isnt going to agree with. |
