i don't think we have the same concept of being a "star" in France. or maybe it is me... anyway i wouldn't classify her as a "star", but as a Great Actress...
i mean she does not seem to me as un-approachable as "stars" would be...

Les Parapluies de Cherbourg is a drama-musical. i got confused as both cities are in the north of France - silly! lol

her sister died in a car accident, south of france. her name was francoise dorleac she was just a few years older than catherine and played with her in the Parapluies de Cherbourg in 1967.
she died a later that year, age 25. RIP xx
