Yeah, this episode seemed to retain the main plot, but they changed the motives behind the characters actions and altered their dialog to make them incredibly selfish and unsympathetic. Talking about Avril CDs instead of showing concern for Giroro and making Natsumi unable to remember who Giroro was instead of wondering what was wrong. Almost none of the original dialog was kept and a lot of the dramatic and emotional aspects were lost in favor of fast paced humor. It was not okay.

The Animax dub did just that. In fact I'm pretty sure it was THE EXACT SAME THING in both languages. Just strange rhymes tacked on the end of sentences that adults use to be funny, which is actually incredibly dorky. Some things transcend cultural boundaries.

Oh that's just untrue. There are plenty of people with the range to portray the characters in English. If you don't want to listen to them you can still watch it in Japanese if Funi gives us a subbed release.

Crack pot? Seriously? That's not even like a rude thing to say, like "shut up". That's just... a figure of speech. You're an idiot.

Kururu's not obnoxious because of how he talks, he's obnoxious because of what he DOES. Kururu has an awesome voice. When he's serious, you take him seriously, and when he's pissed, you know he's about to whoop some ass, and when he's silly, you laugh A LOT because, like Giroro, we're used to him acting cool and sinister and serious, and suddenly showing up dressed as a magical girl, or wearing a pink bikini is HILARIOUS. Jerry Jewel could totally pull that off, but not this guy.

Just because we complain doesn't mean they'll do what we want. We have to be vocal about the things we dislike and give reasons for why they should do as we say. This dub might appeal to some people's sense of humor, but like I've said before, it is not a true dub because it's completely re-written all the dialog and changed the personalities of the characters. It works as a parody, but plenty of people liked the REAL show and want an English release with it's original charm intact.

Ok, thats just a little harshe. Ive been waiting for YEARS for an english dub, and this is just a TEST DUB. If you disagree, like many of the others here, they will CHANGE it so it can make everyone happy. They chose very good voice acters, and although I dont like the name changes, im sure they'll read back the comments and change it back to their origional names. And they didnt deface it, they did a very good job, and you're just too freakin ignorant to see it.

Personally, I like the choices for the voice cast. However, the name changes are not especially beneficial to the dub.
Chris Sabat IS my ideal Giroro voice and Kululu is just obnoxious enough to be completely believable.
Tamama, Keroro and even the narrator are pretty good.
Okay, all that aside I think it was good.
Nothing I'd shell out my money for yet, but with the script is okay and a cast that just nails it, there is great potential.
BTW, Natsumi works just fine for a name.

NO. NO NO NO NO NO NO! If you can't do a dub and stay true to the original show, you don't do a dub! Just look at what you've done! You've turned Tamama into a girl, made Natsumi a dunce, and 'Planet Wuss'?! 'Wussians'?! Ugh! You have just disgraced this show! You have disgraced it, you have de-faced it, you've yanked and twisted most important character traits, and as far as I am concerned, you should never be aloud to do any dubs ever again!
