I LOVE GLENN FREY!!!!!

I was basing my comment on what LR said in concert. But since I live in Texas and get the terminology in the song it is more likely that the lyrics were probably Henley's. I don't think Glenn would have picked up on what "out ridin' fences" meant in Detroit.

ehm
henley was working on this song for quite some time, and when they had their writing times, henley showed this to frey, and they finished it.
so basically this is a henley song.

This was in Dublin 1992,short of 2 years before Hell Froze Over. A fantastic version of the song. His voice is so passionate!

This is mostly Glen's song. They had a Lennon/McCartney deal on the writing credits. But just like the Beatles you can usually tell who did the most on a song. Glen used to play the piano and sing it. His original is better and so was his voice. Apparently Don has taken better care of his.

Strange. This is even better than Don's version. BUT, if Glenn originally sung this in the seventies and I would hear Henley doing it now I would feel the same way.
hey, it would be interesting to hear Henley singing take it easy!

Was this before The Eagles reunited? Glenn has beautiful voice with smooth english accent. Glenn's version is also outstanding! It's good. However, Don has power and more emotional expression. I like Glenn's Lyin' Eyes, and Don's Desperado. I'm a South Korean living in NY. I'm almost at the same age as these guys'.

Damn, I think I like Glen's version of Desparado better than Don Henley's.
