No surprise here. Of course the NEA endorses Obama. His election has ensured a continued gush of taxpayer money their way. In turn, their unaccountable union will continue to gush votes back to him. It's American as apple pie. By the way, it's interesting to note that Obama will not be sending his daughters to the DC public schools when he assumes his position as King. Instead, he will pony-up almost $30,000 a year, per child, for private schools.

The NEA is the cause of the dumbing down of America. Home schooled and private schooled children are 3 grade levels ahead of public Schools. The cost per pupil is 1/4 the cost of public c schools. These people need some competition. School vouchers would clean up the school mess. By the way Obama , there is no such thing as public money. Money must be earned by someone.

Thank you. I'm holding back my tears here, so bare with me; when every school has books and workbooks for every child to take home -so they can do their homework; when every child is taught something besides how to pass a ridiculous test that John McCain couldn't pass; when teachers who have studied long and hard - whether with a master's or extra bachelor's degrees, or continuing ed and get rewarded; when success is measured by individual kids' improvement, I'll thank God for Obama!
