if you think about it in a certain way, this song could also be about battling depression like where it says "dont stop believeing in yourself when you're broken" whic could mean not wanting to live and since thinking of it that way, this song has helped both me and my boyfriend over come our depression and suicidal thoughts. I absolutely love this song ... I told everyone I know that I want this song played for me when I leave for Iraq ..... I just want them to put it on a big speaker and play it cause the words have so much meaning ... The part " DONT U STOP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF " " BETTER DAYS ARE GONNA FIND YOU ONCE AGAIN " it's gonna give me the strength to go over and fight for our country and have faith that I will come back home to my 2 children !!!!
