The cars, such as the Ultimate Aero, which came along afterwards and tried to claim another couple of mph on top of the Bugatti are missing the point entirely. The Veyron is a masterpiece of design. It has phenomenal build quality and can be driven easily at normal or high speeds. Ironically, at £850,000 it's also a bargain, since VW spent about £5,000,000 for each one built...
