5 stars. Even though I'm not even sure why I found the visuals so emotional.
The pictures of Earth in space at the end were very cool.
Top video.

RhinoGen, in most cases I'd be the first to agree with you about the way we Americans often take something...and make it so self-centered. However, I viewed a solo acoustic concert clip of Concrete Blonde's Johnette Napolitano performing this song. She noted how all the billions of dollars spent on the war in Iraq could have been used to find a cure for HIV/AID...and would make it so that a person such as Wendy need never feel so abandoned by her society that she takes her own life.

first off rhinogen I am not an American second off If you had been reading along with the class you would have already read that A: I got the pictures from Africa from an aids awareness site B: many of the photos match the words being sung C: some are artistic licence , you see the beauty of a great song is that it may be used to make many points at the same time so may be the simple minded thinking is you and may be you should read along first before inserting your foot in your mouth

Leave it to an American to ignore any real meaning for anything other than how it affects America. Wake up, this song has nothing to do with your dead soldiers, and to try to shoehorn that meaning into the song is an insult to Prieboy, HIV sufferers and their loved ones and any one who can see beyond simple-minded jingoistic thinking.

wholly- i politely disagree that was the only reason, or it was as simple as that. however, my reason for commenting is just to say that ironically, after years of the Iraq debacle, few North Americans are willing to pitch in and alter their behavior to reduce dependency on oil. im saying lets all look in the mirror at our way of life (im not a socialist or anarchist). |
