Of Montreal song ("Every Day Feels Like Sunday" from the Sunlandic Twins Bonus EP) on a Nasdaq commercial. I understand they're using the cash to pay for an amazing stage show.

Haha, if he was his brother, I suppose he would just say he knows Kevin. Not Kevin's sister. Hahaha. But I see where you would get that, with his screen name being David.

thank you. for once someone sees it for what it is. of Montreal has been a long time in the making and they're FINALLY reaching new plateaus in terms of mainstream popularity. Instead of whining about selling out, support the great band that you've been supporting! If you want to distanciate yourselves from new fans just say you've been around before the Outback commercial lol

omg....are you his brother?!
ScriptedHappiness (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
YOU KNOW HIS SISTER? Wow. I am so jealous. Jeez.
ChoppinBroccoli22 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
i mean honestly, my only problem with this is that they cut out all the words except for "everyday feels like sunday baby, everyday feels so good"

it's called feeding your family. and no one i ask ever knows who of Montreal is. It's not like they tell you who does the song in the comercial or anything.

i used to work there

I've known Kevin's sister for years, and it has taken of Montreal at least 15 years to get where they are today. Kevin's made a lot of sacrifices. Some people see indie musicians doing commercials as "selling out". I see it as survival! As a parent of a kid in an indie-pop band, Afternoon Naps, I can tell you that these musicians can barely make it financially due to the part-time and flexible hours they need to be available to do shows or tour.

I think your rage has confused you. I'm not seeing in my comment where I stood up for NASDAQ. But on the other hand, I don't really care how much THEY lost you, especially when i'm sure it wasn't "them" really, as a collective. I suppose you should just get over it?

I love of montreal but I FUCKING DESPISE NASDAQ. they've lost me thousands of dollars and how fucking DARE you stick up for them. I hate hipsters. what the fuck do you suppose i do about this situation?
