Overcome Homelessness Define Your Dream (2007). This is a television program about how we are overcoming homelessness and discovering the American Dream. The program contains real live interviews of homeless people and special footage that tells a unique story about how people feel about homelessness in Santa Cruz, CA. Feel free to visit my web site at http://www.geocities.com/coope... to learn more. The homeless experience will be described as a loss of one perception of the American Dream. The need for a transformation and a redefinition of the American Dream will be expanded upon. Many times we go through life without caring about how a person ended up homeless, or how they lost sight of their vision of the American Dream. People are beat down by relationships and we lose sight of the dreams that we once had for ourselves. The status quo of contemporary American thought influences our paradigm. We make judgements about people and many times those of us in the transformation process are further injured. To one peorson the American Dream may be sailing out on the ocean or living in a beach house, surfing the best waves at the best times. Another may have a drive to invent something excellent like the phone or the automobile. Every homeless person had a dream at one time, but they lost sight of it. Even the middle class lose sight of their dream. The loss and seperation of loved ones through divorce and is more than many of us can handle, and we can't 'just pick ourselves up by our bootstraps'. We need others at the moment when others are most likely to give up on us. I wanted to expand on the idea of defining the "human dream" because freedom, joy, happiness, love and space to live, clean air, water, and sunshine, peaceful non-fear-inducing environments are something that humanity is entitled to equally rather than some countries at the expense of other countries. I wanted to describle how individuals are robbed of their natural resources and how other countries are being exploited. I wanted to focus on rehabilitation for damaged people, those who have resorted to poor coping mechanisms and deviant behavior as a means for fulfilling their needs. I would like to explain how it is unfair to control all the land and natural resources in the nation to the point that capable people are forced to live a neglected animals in a unhumanely run animal shelter. These homeless people have had a great deal stolen from them. They learned to steal and harm because they were treated so from birth and further harmed by the system. Many are mentally disabled and are unable to even think clearly anymore. They are indigent, but they are sick too. The system will not spend the funds necesarry to rehabilitate them. I want to show the devistating impact that an instance of homelessness has on an individual and his/her family. I want to inspire the homeless to fulfill the American Dream in their own lives and I want to inspire middle class Americans to inspire the American Dream in their own lives as well. I want to doccument how people are fulfilling their American Dream to teach others the way. I want to show a day in the life of a homeless person to show how homelessness actually becaomes a full time job in and of itself. I wanted to show some humorous aspects of a day in the life of a homeless person, the signs and the hustles. I wanted to show how the opression of homelessness is a manifestation of an attribute of oppression and to explore the commonalities between homelessness and other opressed social groups such as minorities, slaves, the working class. I wanted to explore the ecology of the human animal. I want to inspire confidence in the American Dream and show that it is still possible to acheive through my own success at overcoming homelessness and business success. The truth...Land of the Coward and Home of the Slave...being homeless is freedom...not for all, but I am on my way to this freedom in my own eyes, I am tired of working for a little cage with all of the little bills that come with the little satisfaction in the rat race of Society. I respect the homeless, for they are stronger than I, mind and soul. So to become happy I must shed my materialistic baggage and finally become free. Very Enlightening video...

The police do not want the homeless people to sleep on the street's or in the park's, yet, homeless shelter's are jam packed full of homeless people. Where else are they suppose to sleep? Yes, they can get a job. I knew a homeless person who tried getting a job, and he was chased out of the place. Now, how are they suppose to get a job when they get chased out of place's. Land of the free & home of the poor. We need to take care of our own country before taking care of other country's.
