Neither Paul Newman nor Sidney Poitier are playing their horns. It's Louis Armstrong with Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn & the DE Band. Duke & Billy wrote the soundtrack. This is the only scene in the movie that I like.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but is Paul Newman Really playing there? I am a musician and to me it looks quite genuine. If he is not playing, I think he did a great job of acting it. If he IS playing, I am knocked right the fuck out!!
