So yeah out of over a million videos this is my Favorite. And not because of the mans clothes but because of the beuaty of the song he plays. He actually made me pick up my fingers and play again. Thank you. And to all you people who Always have sumthing to say about someones appearance--How are YOU lookin today?

thanks for the explanation. it occurred to me that this might be so, after i caught up to the other pieces gen played at the program. still haunting nonetheless though.

i thought you might know that during a recital you wait until the entire performance is done before you applaud and he was doing a program obviously or he would have stood and taken a bow.

Nothing short of brilliant. Clothes? Satie wore the same suit for years running. Everywhere, every day. Pretty fascinating someone with such an extreme athletic build can play such incredibly sensitive music. The good art is found in dichotomy, not predictable harmony (no pun intended). Not sure I'd have been able to give applause, not due to the execution but because of the feeling one has after this piece has gone about it's business of eating all hope from your soul and quietly leaving.

They should have clapped him. The reason they didn't. probably because they didn't like the performance. Its a great performance but obviously not for them. And the room is mostly empty so obviously the rendition of adagio didn't attract much interest at all. shame - really greatpiano playing especially in a piece more suited to a large string section.
