it usually takes me up to 2 weeks just to get an appointment with my doctor, and he generally fobs me off because he is running late and needs to catch up with other appointments. so he can get to the golf course in the afternoon. so sometimes we have to help ourselves with alternative medicines.

Redderz puts a very good point. Human beings have survived for a very long time, what was effective medicine a hundred years ago is still effective today -same as a sword or cannon compared to a bullet or missile. Anyone who must ask "what medicine has to do with martial arts" must be an open person, or elsewise a fool. Martial arts is about quality of life and survival to live that life. Medicine can teach to kill, as well as to cure.
