How can one man do this in a performance, everyone of us who have watched this have been sitting in that cell in new orleans watching sammy watching mr bojangles dance,he paints such a vivid picture with his body language, face, emotions, voice that you've lived the life of bojangles thru sammy's eyes!this performance should be made compulsary veiwing in schools so our youth don't grow up thinking 50 cents and the like can "perform",they've no idea.
r.i.p. sammy, god must be enjoying watching u now.

There will never be another Sammy Davis Jr. Thank God for videotape. Young performers need to WATCH this man's performances.

There were three live performances I had always wished I could have seen live. One of those, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" I got to see Tony Bennett do a few months ago. The other two, I never got to because I was too young. One was Frank Sinatra's, "Fly Me to the Moon". Last, but not least, was Sammy's "Mr. Bojangles". When Tony goes, who will be left of those great performers?

This song needs to be sung by a person who has really LIVED a difficult life and that long hard life is written all over Sammy Davis Jr's face. Thank you, SDJ...
