home theater, get like a sony reciever then buy some pioneer speakers to go with it, that way if the speakers blow you still have a good reciever, and if the reciever blows you still have a good set of speakers(also if you get a good reciever you can upgrade subwoofers since the higher end ones power themselves, using only one cable instead of speaker wires)

I believe the purpose for laptop speakers is to be small and economical, as is the laptop for which these speakers are engineered for in the first place... but then again, what does a 100hp honda know
