elite and normal are the same console. elite just is black has a bigger HD and a hdmi cable. that's the only difference

I'm had my 360 for quite a while, most of my friends got theirs when they first game out and it all depends which 360 console you get. The white ones constantly break while I've yet to meet anyone with an Elite that has had it break without them doing something stupid (like having up against the wall so the fan can't cool it and it overheating). And btw, I have a 360 elite and a PS3. But my 360 is my fav.
