I googled Duchesnay and the phrase Perfect Marks and got nothing, zero, Nada. I did the same with Torvil and Dean and the phrase Perfect Marks and got 17300 hits. Who could forget when the Duchesnays rocketed into second place in 1988. Torvil and Dean, not bad for (how did you call them?)amateurs N'est-ce Pas?

Henri

I taped this brilliant act and then accidently taped over it! Now to see it again brings such joy. They were the greatest ice dancers ever.

my mother had a ticket for this show, but she couldn't go because of me (I was a baby... and stuff...) and the irony is that now I'm a huge fan, and I can't see them skating live either :(

I was in my early teens at the time and I can remember being fixated to the screen even then - It was and still is today the most amazing set and even though I love Torvill and Dean's interpretations on dancing on ice, nothing can compare to 1984!!

I love living in Nottingham!
Partly because of them the new Ice Centre is so nice!

I was out of Britain when this happened and so I watched an American coverage. The commentators were speculating who was going to come second. So I watched expecting a mere gold medal for the UK what I got was sensational. I had a tear in my eye at the end. I'm so proud to come from Nottingham. The new Ice Centre has a square in it called Bolero Square.

This is just incredible: to get 6's from Soviet block countries in the 1980's was almost unbelievable. Just shows how perfect Jane and Chris were; not even the supercritical Soviet judges could find any fault with this. This is a great show of fair judging, and is worth of respect. They were the greatest ice-dancers ever, and will always be.

The said they never got together because it would ruin their proffessional partnership, and if their off-ice relationship collapsed, so would their on-ice one. But in the John Henassy book, it says "We fell in love, and then back out again," so we can still specualte =P |
