um hate to break it to you, but he didnt fuck his voice, they scream again
Robotswillkillusall (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
You know what, youre absolutely right. I am very "reterted".
No seriously, i reiterate, how the hell can the band be influnced by metallica and not sound anything like them? If they didnt sound alike, I would call matt and corey liars for claiming they even listened to metallica. Your influences shape the way you play. For instance, my guitar style is heavily influneced by Lamb of God and Led Zepp.(complex song structure, constant fret polarizations, single note plucking instead of chords)

yea i know but at least find a new guy dat can scream
mrhappycow13 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
they can't scream becuase heafy blew his voice. I loved it when he screamed. May matt's scream RIP.
conorfell3 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
man what happend to them wen they came out with the ascendency album they ruled! now they sound like crap. they cant scream like they did and its a shame cause they where great
mertzinator (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The songs don't sound anything alike when you listen to them closely but at first they sound like Metallica because in some songs you can point out the influence of Metallica
ironmaidenfan4life (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
your right you doint need a hearing aid your just fucking retarded, listen to metallica , anything of teirs, and listen to trivium, ur reterded if u think they sound similiar
Robotswillkillusall (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
So even though Trivium is influenced by Metallica, they sound nothing alike? That makes no fucking sense. besides the fact that they blatantly sound alike anyway. Every person I know who hears the guitars to one of triviums songs thinks it's a metallica song they havent heard, and then the guy starts screaming and they freak out.
Ive listened to both these bands heavily before forming this opinion, and I definetly dont need a hearing aid.

Of course you think it's better. They had the chance to take a song alreay copied once by Children of Bodom and learn from the mistakes. I'm not impressed. I'd be more critical if it wasn't that good. However, in my opinion, I like Carcass' version better. It's a personal choice, though.

Whether it's a "stolen copy" of the song Corporal Jigsore Quandry/Bodom Beach Terror, I've just listened to both of those songs and Trivium's is by far the best.
