"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." "well regulated militia" refers to everyone, and even if it did'nt refer to everyone, then according to your logic the national guardsmen, who are the legitimate and official militia, still would have had the right to carry guns.

My mother went to Kent when this happened and was in the croud when the Guard started shooting; she saw one of the girls get killed though she doesn't remember which one it was. This kind of thing makes me sick, the kids there were just protesting, they were being peaceful about it though! Why did they have to shoot them? Government...*shakes head sadly*

Never foget this, ever or it will repeat. Harmless students armed w/ a microphone and the right to assemble against those weak little national guardsmen w/ guns. This makes me sick. I hope Nixon is burning in hell.

The ammendment to carry guns was for the minute men of local wars to protect their home, and before that they were used to hunt. Carrying a gun now, aside for hunting, has only ever lead to accidents and gang violence.

why do you have a constitutional amendment to carry guns if you're not gonna use them. SHOOT BACK
