I personally believe that the Sesame Street back when I was a child (born 1966) to today is very different. They don't focus so much on counting and letters as they used to. Now it relational (which is not all that bad) and 15 mintues of redundent Elmo's World at the end. I liked Grover better anyway. He was silly, especially when he was "Super Grover". But really, does anybody else see it the way I do?

I totally agree. My kids (when I have them) will be watching good ol' Sesame Street (both the current seasons, as well as the Old School dvd sets). :)

I actually remember seeing this episode when it aired. I was so excited with the new muppet 'the count'.

The Count and Cookie Monster are my two favorite Sesame Street characters. Wow, it so happened that The Count's debut was in 1972, same year I was born. Sesame Street was where I learnt how to read, speak and count. Nice to see that it's still good. Thanks for posting this vid!

Great. Now my nephew is crying because he wants the cookies that Cookie Monster ate.

I just love cookie's 'dramtic exit' at the end.

you know you're completely right, I've seen my cousin's kid watch teletubbies and she turned into a zombie which stared at the screen and never said a single word I'm not kidding. When I have kids of my own they will never watch teletubbies for a second
