That tells me nothing dude...! I will comment i respect Marines but I AM a Infantryman. Infantryman never stop training in combat weapons. MCT - 29 days... whole days...! Infanrymans job is training combat weapons.

dude ya theres 3 weeks of rifle training but then whats after boot?ya its fuckin MCT (Marine Combat Training) you have to take that into account every marine no matter what MOS has to go through this excpt. Infantry they go to SOI or ITB ,also every Marine is a Basic Rifleman.I have friends in the army over in iraq and he said that marines are the most feared there he even said that some of the national guard spray painted marines on the side of there humvees... what does that tell you?

Marine Infantryman are mighty warriors, I do not deny this, but you can not compare a POG marine with a (11 bravo) Infantryman - sorry. Marines have value because of trendy america: A long time ago marines did something outstanding - so they claimed they were the best. Then americans hear this and start preaching it also. It's like saying black people are stupid because folks said it in slavery days when blacks were denied a education. Sayings are only trends that continue...

Okay...I've worked with soldiers a plenty...I know the differences between the branches...been playing this game for a while now. I dont recall two weeks of "perfecting drill" as you put it, either. And if you don't think drill improves discilpline, you sir, are sorely mistaken. I learned alot from drill...especially attention to detail.

Brandon, great name; we have something in common. Marines boot is 13 weeks; 1 week swimming and 2 weeks perfecting drill (additional weeks vs army 9) - this does improve discipline and teamwork. Army OSUT is 15 weeks of rifle training. You start combat training after 2 weeks, while marines are in boot camp - army infantry osut are training in weapons. By week- 13 while marines finally finish boot and begin weapons training - Army (11 bravo's) are already leathal weapons.
