General Laurent Nkunda, rebel leader of the National Congress for People's Defence (CNDP), has said he wants to re-examine a $5bn dollar deal the Congolese government has struck with China. The deal gives China access to Congo's vast mineral riches in exchange for infrastructure development, including hospitals and football arenas. However, critics say China is behaving just like the imperial powers of the past. Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports.

40 cents an house isn't bad for a country like Congo. If he/she works 5 hours that's around $2.00 a day which meets international standards.

the already spend most of that money they took out, and what did they get out of it? nothing. But I am sure some people got rich from that money.

china follows in western countries steps? The western countries went into africa and stole what ever they wanted. China is buying what they need, setting up long term contracts, building hospitals and schools.
