Funny but, My 4th great grandfather fought along side with General James Wolfe and was quite a good friend of the General. He received large pieces of land that most of now is Quebec. He unfortunetly (my 4 th grandfather) died when his ship sank while going back to England. Left 8 children, which obviously I now have that decent. Irony, sets in the 70's when my grandfather meets up with his 2nd wife (Montcalm-enemy in battle 400 years before), marries happily. Strange but all very true.

well french had a colony in canada but it was called (literaly traslated) new-france. When the british came they change its name to province of quebec. And after they named it canada

Right... So If "The England was the first one to be in Canada" what was the Colony that existed before New France? Just curious.
