Goo is alright, but I like Dirty better. And Daydream Nation is by far my favorite (I spent my freshman yr of college listening to nothing but it and Husker Du).

First of all, their live stuff was often out of tune. Hell, they were a pub band in Germany, have you ever heard a bar band before? It's about the fuck of it, not the perfection. Also, there's plenty of songs where they sing out of tune, just listen to helter skelter, which of course has a lot of dissonance to it. And by the way, by the time you've pounded a bass for five minutes as hard as he did on that song, it's out of tune, dude. That's just common sense. Music comes from human hands.

i really like sonic youth the only problem i have wen listening to some of their stuff is wen they have a five minutes of like feedback and overdrive it's just kind of boring i love the rest of the song just not wen they play nuthin and bash their guitars around as part of a song. but hey thats their style still luv em though
