i dont know. one man's terrorist is another man freedom fighter. if guy intended to blow only the monument, then that would have been a stronger message. but the murdering of innocent people is wrong. but i guess we can never know whats right or wrong anymore. the media and historians have screwed us up all throughout history.

Go thru the torture chamber in the Tower and you won't forget it.

Religious extremists try to set off a massive bomb that will murder hundreds maybe thousands of people allowing them to take over the country and rule it in the name of the foreign theocrat to whom they owe allegience.
At the 11th hour the terrorist plot is foiled and ironically the captured terrorist is treated with the sort of brutality uncommon in the country, but routinely used by the foreign theocrat's own inquisitors. Their religion becomes more feared and persecuted than it was before.

As for gay priests , that is obviously an unbelievable shame and the Catholic Church had even bigger troubles in USA than in Ireland : there are gay priests also inside Protestant Church, maybe such a hard matter
is much more covered up in protestant societies than in catholic ones .
anyway I only try to be rational and to look beyond any false, uncorrect and wrong usual clichè .
I just look at history . cheers

As for the flight of Nazi criminals after WWII I agree with you, but honestly and rationally giving any fault to the Catholic Church is not only totally wrong & illogic, but also bizarre and pathetic : the Vatican did nothing but executing orders coming directly from Washington ( something about the cold war ag. USSR). The Catholic church is instead culpable of the shamefull support
to fascism in Italy,Spain and other countries , but to tell you the truth even Churchill gave credit to Mussolini

You obviously didn't get or read My prev comment my kind friend, 'cos it was meant as involving not only the Spanish inquisition by centuries of history beyond any false & ridiculous clichè .
The Inquisition was guilty for a few hundreds of dead people ( by staths not by my personal opinions ) while instead the Protestant Church supporting through the centuries the British Empire and 200 of US history is much more culpable for hundreds of thousands of dead people in the whole world.

You obviously have not heard of the Spanish inquisition my friend. The Catholic church are also culpable in the flight of Nazis after the end of WW2. We Catholics have to be a little circumspect when making comments suh as you have. Additionally, apart from Gay priests, the Catholic church in Ireland has had a very sorry past uncovered over the last 10 years !
