So you have misconceptions of our nation because frauds like Mellancamp try to exploit social issues for profit? You probably think all sorts of incorrect things about Jena or US because of this song. Will anyone sing about the many crimes the Jena 6 committed before & after they attacked Justin Barker? Most recently, Bell was arrested for shoplifting & battery 2 weeks ago.

Mellencamp has a lot of his facts wrong about that case, but in more depressing news, 4 of the 6 boys Mellencamp is singing in behalf of have committed violent crimes since then.

Every human being on the planet is an asshole! my self included. So stop pointing fingers at each other. Start Pointing guns and we can clean this planet up. I am a white canadian but I'm glad americans and black people shoot each other. Keep up the good work! =)

this day we are still friends. The situation got out of control, but Jena itself is not bad, and not everyone in Jena is as stupid as you John are making yourself out to be. So why dont you take a little trip to Jena, with the money you are getting from this ridiculous song, and find out for yourself!

well..this is to jeffry234567..if your figures are correct..thats shocking! but does it matter what colour skin is!! theres no excuse..and if it were not for people like jm to sing about it..who would know and care..i live in nz, before that the uk..so all this is a world away..but i know because people sing about it! get with it mate..like the man says...enougth is enougth!
