I saw this in Northern Connecticut, although not as blatant. I seem to remember the weather was warmer when I saw it. I'll describe. It was like a giant spider web of light was in the sky and between the strands of light were vague shimmering sheets of light all traveling to the core of the emanation. It was glorious. I saw it one other time though it was still it was as if someone took a red paint brush and streaked it across the sky above my friends house.
